New look for 2024 charity golf day

This year’s Bendigo Community Bank’s Annual Charity Golf Day has a new-look.

Traditionally an early morning tee off, the ‘new look’ event will see teams tee off at 12.30pm on Friday 23 February followed by a two-course dinner, golf presentations, major auction, community raffle draw and a special performance by local musician Luke Matthews upon arrival to the Warragul Country Cub.

Luke Matthews has been performing as a musician around Australia and internationally for the past 20 years and has had gigs at the Australian Open, AFL and backstage pre-shows for Prince, The Beach Boys, Coldplay, Cold Chisel and The Eagles.

This charity golf day is in its ninth year and is organised through a partnership between Bendigo Community Bank branches of Drouin, Neerim and Trafalgar and the Warragul Country Club – the official event host and supporting event partner.

The annual charity event raises money for West Gippsland Hospital Supporters and Warragul and District Specialist School.

West Gippsland Hospital is purchasing new stretcher trolleys for the Emergency Department thanks to the donation they received from last year’s Bendigo Community Bank’s Annual Charity Golf Day while Warragul and District Specialist School put their funds towards the purchase of communication devices for the school.

To register a team in the 2024 Bendigo Community Bank’s Annual Charity Golf Day, visit www.warragulcountryclub.com.au/cms/golf/bendigo-community-bank-charity-golf-day-2024/ or call the Warragul Country Club Pro Shop on 5623 2353 for more information.

Cost is $280 per team and this includes light lunch, game of golf and a two-course meal for the four team players.

Golf registration will be from 11am with tee off at 12.30pm sharp.

Those who wish to come along for the evening event only can book for the dinner by also visiting www.warragulcountryclub.com.au

Dinner-only ticket costs $60 per person or $550 for a table of 10.

Pre-dinner drinks will be from 4.30pm followed by dinner at 6pm.

Members of the fundraising committee, hospital and specialist school have started selling raffle tickets in the community.

Raffle tickets cost $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20.

Some of this year’s amazing prizes include two nights at Pullman, a BMW car for the weekend and a Point Leo Voucher, a $1000 Flight Centre gift card and a $500 Down to Earth Garden Supplies voucher.

You will be able to grab your raffle tickets from West Gippsland Hospital’s main reception, Allied and Community Health at Gladstone Street in Warragul, Warragul Country Club, Bendigo Community Banks in Drouin, Trafalgar and Neerim South and Bendigo Bank in Warragul.

Raffle tickets will also be available at Warragul and District Specialist School from Wednesday 31 January.

The community is encouraged to dig deep and support the 2024 Bendigo Community Bank’s Annual Charity Golf Day.
